Strawberry with Coconut Milk Yogurt Smoothie

Sharing is caring!

My recipes are grain free, refined sugar free and most are dairy free. I have had to go grain free, refined sugar free, and have limited dairy to improve my health. I have regained energy and end up making almost everything in my meals from scratch. My recipes are good for those that are gluten free or have allergies.

Once I wrote a recipe for yogurt it meant I could make smoothies again. This is just one example but there are many variations on it. Such an easy recipe. Having smoothies with homemade yogurt makes me feel “normal again” like I can still eat the things I love. I just have to adjust my recipes to grain free, and refined sugar free.

I have done some experimenting I have found, that I can use a medium sized bowl with a lid and process it inside my yogurt maker instead of the 7 small jars with lid. I don’t know if your yogurt maker will allow you to do this. You would have to experiment. I love the taste and texture of coconut milk yogurt. One of my supplements is Dr. Axe’s Collagen. I use it in my smoothies. It is optional you can just leave it out.

1 cup homemade coconut milk yogurt

1/2 cup almond milk

1/2 cup cut strawberries

2 teaspoons powdered monk fruit sugar

* Optional: 1 scoop Dr. Axe Collagen

3 –  4 pieces of ice

Pour yogurt into a blender. Add strawberries, monk fruit sugar, collagen, and ice. Blend on high. Pour into a glass and enjoy.

  1. This sounds delish! I’ve never tried monk fruit sugar. I’d love to try it!

    1. Thanks. Monk fruit is used a lot in China. Let me know if you try the recipe. Have an awesome day/night!
