Rosemary BBQ Tri-Tip Roast

My recipes are grain free, refined sugar free and most are dairy free. Welcome to my page and my journey to finding better health. Many of my recipes are helpful for those with allergies. My wish is to help others on a similar journey as mine. I hope to show you that taste and flavor don’t have to be sacrificed simply because there are common items you can’t have. I have done a lot of research and trial and error so you don’t have to.

My meals do take time to prepare. Many times you can make some of the components ahead of time. That way it doesn’t become so overwhelming. I take a day every so often to make ketchup and/or BBQ sauce, Mayonnaise, Homemade Yogurt and sometimes I even make homemade chocolate chips. As with everything homemade always tastes best. Plus you can name all the ingredients in your food. Not all of my recipes take a long time.

I love BBQing in the summertime. The BBQ Grill is awesome to use as it doesn’t heat up your house and makes some of the most incredible and tasty dishes. We have a BBQ smoker. Love the flavor of hickory, mesquite or cherry wood. I still need to try to make brownies on the BBQ with cherrywood. I have heard the smoke imparts a tasty flavor. And you can’t get that in the oven. I believe that beef tastes better with a marinade or seasonings or both. I don’t want to use sauces to give my meat its flavor. This Tri-Tip can be made two ways. First is exactly as presented by following the recipe below. Or start the day before and Marinate it in Rosemary White Wine. Whichever way you make this Tri-Tip you’ll love.

Nutritional Facts are below. I did not add the marinade to the Nutritional Facts as it just sits in the marinade and the majority of it is tossed out.

4 lbs. Tri-Tip Roast

1 recipe Rosemary Garlic Marinade

2 teaspoons garlic powder

2 teaspoons onion powder

2 teaspoons salt

1 teaspoon pepper

1 tablespoon Nevada Sauce

1 tablespoon Coconut Aminos

1 Sprig Rosemary

Preheat your BBQ. Remove your Tri-Tip from the Marinade. It should be Marinated overnight. Sprinkle on the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper on both sides of the Tri-Tip Roast. Sprinkle on Nevada sauce and Coconut Aminos. Get a sprig of Rosemary and twist with your hands to release juices. Then use the rosemary like a paintbrush and rub across the Tri-Tip roast on both sides. Place on the grill and place a digital BBQ safe thermometer in the Tri-Tip. I BBQ mine to medium rare typically 130 degrees. Make sure to save 1/2 cup of marinade and brush your roast with it twice while it BBQ’s. After 10 minutes flip roast and cook other side. When the thermometer reaches your set desired doneness remove from the grill and let sit 20 minutes. Remember your roast will continue to cook and the temperature will rise slightly.  After 20 minutes slice and eat.
