BBQ Rubbed Rib Eye Roast

My recipes are grain free, refined sugar free and dairy free. If you are a regular to my blog then you know I am on a journey to improve my health. So far it is working for me. Of course the above description is a simplified version of how restrictive my diet really is. Basically if I want to eat it I need to make it from scratch. Take a look at my condiment recipes. I have write a recipe for several BBQ sauces, ketchup and even for my own chocolate chips.

Summer is drawing to an end. School has started in my state. I homeschool and I have one child left to graduate. Yep, he’s in high school. I actually love this age. Why? Because we can have in depth conversations about all kinds of things. Although I have a son. I don’t think boys are as communicative as girls. So my homeschool journey is drawing to an end. I only have a few more years to go. It is a bitter sweet journey. I have so enjoyed homeschooling and I know it is not for everyone.

I wanted to take advantage of the BBQ grill since summer is over. This roast is so yummy and tasty. Serve with Dairy Free Coleslaw, American Baked Beans, LaRena’s Crusty European Style Bread, BBQ Sweet Potatoes or a baked potato.

2 1/2 tablespoons My BBQ Seasoning

2 1/2 tablespoons Garlicky Onion Seasoning

1 tablespoon maple sugar

3 lb Rib Eye Roast

Combine the seasonings and rub all over the rib eye. Place on the grill and place a digital BBQ safe thermometer in the roast. I BBQ mine to medium rare.  When the thermometer reaches your desired doneness remove from the grill and let sit 20 minutes. Remember your roast will continue to cook and the temperature will rise slightly.  After 20 minutes slice and eat.
