Prime Rib Au Jus to Go

Sharing is caring!

Prime Rib Au Jus to go. When we go out to dinner I have to make my own salad dressings, steak sauce, au jus etc.

My recipes are grain free, refined sugar free and many are dairy free. I am on a journey to find a healthier me. Prior to switching my diet, I was on a downward spiral and conveyor belt that led to more and more medications. The medications didn’t make me feel better. My health just kept deteriorating. Then a friend of mine suggested going to a functional medical seminar. I went and listened. The information resounded with me and I became a patient of the functional doctor. He soon put me on a personal diet based upon my labs, blood work, and autoimmune illnesses. I have been on this diet since Oct. 2017. My health is what I would call vastly improved but still not 100%.

I created this recipe quickly as I had forgotten to make some au jus for myself on Christmas day to bring to my mothers-in-law. It is a tradition that we have Prime Rib on Christmas day. I wanted to be able to dip my prime rib into au jus, not just homemade horseradish. We had to leave really early in the morning as my husband worked on Christmas day. This is the recipe I came up with. I was really pleased with it. The next time we go out to dinner and I think I need an au jus this will be my go-to recipe.

I use my own prime rib rub. I always read all the ingredients on all my food items. I have found a powdered beef bone broth that I can have. I know that there are several on the market. The one I found is at most grocery stores.
