Gluten-Free Poultry Pot-Pie Filling is the comfort food we all crave on a cold winter day. Full of chicken or turkey, spices like sage, rosemary and savory create this luscious dinner with a flaky crust.
Needless to say, I am thankful that I can write my blog and stick it in a queue to be posted on a specific date. At any rate, how nice it is that because of this I can sit back and relax on Thanksgiving day and the day after. In truth, it will be nice to relax a little and then start prepping for Santa Lucia and Christmas. Not to mention Santa Lucia is the next holiday we will celebrate in our house.

Gluten-Free Poultry Pot-Pie Filling
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon avocado oil
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped sugar snap peas
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1 1/2 cup chopped carrots
- 1 cup broccoli
- 1/2 teaspoon sage
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon rosemary
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon savory
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 3 cups chicken or turkey broth
- 5 tablespoons tapioca flour
- 10 tablespoons chicken or turkey broth
Directions:
First. Heat up a large pan on the stove on medium heat with avocado oil. Once the pan is hot fry up the chopped chicken and chopped onions until almost cooked.
Next add the vegetables, sage, salt, pepper, rosemary, marjoram, parsley, savory, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook until the carrots can be pierced with a fork. Finally, add chicken or turkey broth and cook until it comes to a boil.
Lastly, combine broth and tapioca flour stir until it becomes a thin slurry. Finally, pour the slurry into the Chicken and vegetables and stir until the sauce thickens.
Pour inside a greased pie pan with pie crust inside.
Egg Wash:
1 beaten egg
2 tbsp water
Directions:
Combine beaten egg and water. Top with Savory Pie Crust brush with egg wash and bake 30- 35 mins.
Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chopped parsley to decorate.
