Ingredients

  • 2 cups of water
  • 3/4 cup of cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup maple sugar
  • 1/4 cup powdered monkfruit sweetener
  • 1 tsp cocoa extract
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 3/4 tsp espresso

Instructions

  • First, combine cocoa powder, maple syrup, monkfruit, cocoa extract, salt, and espresso in a bowl and stir together until thoroughly combined.

  • Second, add the water to a pan.
    2 cups of water
  • Next, add in the chocolate mixture and whisk together.
  • Bring to a boil on medium heat.
  • Lastly, boil for approximately 3 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and allow it to cool.

Notes

  • As it cools it will thicken slightly.
  • If you want a thinner syrup just add a tablespoon of water at a time and stir until it is the desired consistency.
