Gluten-Free Cheddar Biscuits

  • First, preheat oven to 475.
  • Second, combine cassava flour, almond flour, salt, baking soda, onion powder, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
    1 1/4 cup cassava flour, 1 cup almond flour, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp onion powder, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
  • Third, using a pastry knife cut in coconut oil or butter.

  • Once it resembles fine sand add shredded cheese. 
    1 1/2 cup shredded Dubliner, 1 cup shredded cheddar
  • Mix cheese into the flour so that the cheese gets coated with the cassava flour. 
  • Finally add milk.
    2 cup milk
  • It will still be slightly crumbly but will stick together. 
  • Next scoop up a tablespoon or so and drop onto a greased cookie sheet or baking stone. 
  • Then press the biscuits slightly down.
  • Bake 10 -20 minutes
  • In a small bowl melt 2 tablespoons of butter and whisk in 1/4 teaspoon minced garlic and 1/8 teaspoon onion powder and a pinch of smoked paprika.
  • Lastly, brush on top of each biscuit fresh out of the oven.
  • Serve
