Gluten-Free Moroccan Kefta

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp cumin seeds
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 2 tbsp fresh chopped mint
  • 1 tsp minced clove of garlic
  • 1 tsp pink salt
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne
  • 2 tbsp fresh chopped cilantro
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 cup shredded onions
  • 3 tbsp fresh chopped parsley
  • 1 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400. Oil a baking sheet or a baking stone. 
  • Oil a baking sheet or a baking stone. 
  • First, toast cumin seeds in a pan on the stove until the seeds are fragrant.

  • Remove seeds from heat and allow to cool. 
  • Second, add ground turkey into a bowl. 
    1 lb ground turkey
  • Add in the remaining ingredients to the ground turkey along with the cumin seeds.
    2 tbsp fresh chopped mint, 1 tsp minced clove of garlic, 1 tsp pink salt, 1/4 tsp cayenne, 2 tbsp fresh chopped cilantro, 2 tsp paprika, 1/2 cup shredded onions, 3 tbsp fresh chopped parsley, 1 tsp black pepper
  • Finally, using your hands shape the turkey into croquettes. 
  • Place croquettes onto a baking sheet or baking stone. 
  • Lastly, place into the oven and bake for 20 – 30 minutes. 
  • Or place on a baking sheet into the BBQ
  • Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly.
  • Serve with Harissa Kefta Sauce.
