Ingredients

  • 1 cup of roasted turkey drippings
  • 4 tbsp butter or coconut oil
  • 1/3 cup of tapioca flour or arrowroot flour
  • 3 1/2 cups of Homemade Turkey Bone Broth or Chicken Broth or water or Store-bought

Salt and Pepper To Taste

Instructions

  • First and foremost, in a large sauce over medium heat melt the butter.
    4 tbsp butter or coconut oil
  • Second, sprinkle the tapioca flour all over the pan.
    1/3 cup of tapioca flour or arrowroot flour
  • Third, continue stirring until a pasty consistency.
  • Fourth, if it seems a little greasy add more tapioca flour.
  • Drain the turkey drippings into a large measuring cup.
  • Allow pan drippings to sit and allow the grease to separate.
  • Pour off the fat from the dark brown drippings.
  • Mix the roux over medium heat for a minute or two.
  • Next, carefully, and slowly stir in the pan drippings and Turkey Bone Broth.
    1 cup of roasted turkey drippings, 3 1/2 cups of Homemade Turkey Bone Broth or Chicken Broth or water
  • Bring the mixture to a boil while continuously stirring.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for approximately 9 - 10 minutes until thick.
  • Lastly, taste and season with salt and pepper.
  • Remove and add to a gravy boat.
