Refined Sugar-Free Homemade Ketchup

Ingredients

  • 1 6 oz. cans of tomato paste
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 - 1 tsp pink salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Hickory liquid smoke
  • 1 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp coconut sugar
  • 1/2 tsp dry mustard
  • 1/2 tbsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne powder
  • 3/4 cup tomato sauce

Instructions

  • First, combine all but tomato sauce in a pan over medium heat. 
    1 6 oz. cans of tomato paste, 1 tsp apple cider vinegar, 1/2 - 1 tsp pink salt, 1/2 tsp Hickory liquid smoke, 1 1/2 tsp chili powder, 1/2 tbsp garlic powder, 1/2 cup water, 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar, 1 tbsp coconut sugar, 1/2 tsp dry mustard, 1/2 tbsp onion powder, 1/2 tsp cayenne powder
  • Second, simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Stir in the tomato sauce and allow to cool
    3/4 cup tomato sauce
  • Next, remove from heat allow to cool. 
  • Lastly, place in a glass jar and store in the fridge.
  • Stores for up to one month in the fridge.
