Ingredients

Sweet in Sour Meatballs

  • 3/4 cup organic panko
  • 1/2 a whole chopped onion
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 3 tbsp my homemade ketchup or store-bought keep in mind if using store-bought it will change the nutritional values
  • 3 tsp coconut aminos
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp teriyaki coconut aminos
  • 2 tsp aka Worchestershire sauce My recipe or store-bought
  • 1 whole minced garlic clove
  • 3/4 tsp pink salt
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1/8 tsp sezchan pepper or more if you desire

Sweet and Sour Glaze

  • 1 tbsp tapioca flour or arrowroot
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup homemade brown sugar or store-bought
  • 1/4 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp coconut aminos

Instructions

Sweet and Sour Meatballs

  • First, preheat the oven to 400 F.
  • Second, oil a baking tray.
  • Third, grate the onion in a box grater.
    1/2 a whole chopped onion
  • Fourth, combine the grated onion with the gluten-free panko crumbs allow to sit for 10 minutes.
    3/4 cup organic panko
  • Add in the remaining ingredients.
    1 lb ground turkey, 3 tbsp my homemade ketchup or store-bought, 3 tsp coconut aminos, 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar, 1 tbsp teriyaki coconut aminos, 2 tsp aka Worchestershire sauce My recipe or store-bought, 1 whole minced garlic clove, 3/4 tsp pink salt, 1 tsp onion powder, 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • Make 1/2 inch for appetizer meatballs or 1 inch for dinner meatballs.
  • Use a small cookie scoop and scoop out the meat.
  • Lastly, place meatballs onto a cooking tray.
  • Bake for 16- 22 minutes or until brown.

Sweet and Sour Sauce

  • First, add the ingredients into a saucepot.
    1/8 tsp sezchan pepper or more if you desire, 1 tbsp tapioca flour or arrowroot, 1/4 cup water, 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar, 1/2 cup homemade brown sugar or store-bought, 1/4 tsp sesame oil, 1 tbsp coconut aminos
  • Second, simmer together until thickens into a syrup consistency.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Gently roll the meatballs in the sauce.
  • Add remaing sauce to a bowl for dipping for appetizers or add the meatballs to the sauce for dinner.
  • Finally, add the meatballs to a serving tray or plates.
  • Top the meatballs with chives or green oninos.
  • For an elegnt lunch or dinner simply add pineapple and bell peppers to cauliflower rice.
