Tin Foil

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Hickory BBQ Sauce
  • 1/4 cup coconut water
  • 8 whole pepperoncini's
  • 4 large chicken breast salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 slices of onion
  • *4 slices of bacon cut in half
  • *8 slices of cheese

Tin Foil Juices

  • 2 tsp tapioca flour
  • 1/8 cup water

Instructions

Tin Foil BBQ Chicken Packet

  • Preheat oven to 400. Rip off 4 large sheets of tinfoil. Fold in half. chicken or just serve without sauce.
  • Combine BBQ sauce, and water coconut water. 
    1/2 cup Hickory BBQ Sauce, 1/4 cup coconut water
  • Place a chicken breast in each package. 
    4 large chicken breast
  •  Salt and pepper both side of chicken breast. 
  • Pour a 1/4 of the bbq sauce on each chicken breast. 
  • Place a slice of onion and 2 pepperoncini’s per packet. 
    8 whole pepperoncini's, 4 slices of onion
  • Crimp edges and place on a baking tray. 
  • Remove packet and open each one. 
  • Place two slices of cheese on each chicken breast and top with a piece of bacon. 
    *4 slices of bacon
  • Place back into the oven until the cheese is melted. Remove from oven. Remove chicken breast from packet pour juices into a pan.
    *8 slices of cheese
  •  Remove from oven. Remove chicken breast from packet pour juices into a pan.

Directions for the Grill or Campfire

  • First and foremost make sure to seal the packets so that none of the juices can escape.
  • Place packets on the grill or campfire.
  • Grill for 20-25 minutes and flip the packets over.
  • Next, grill for another 20- 25 minutes.
  • Carefully remove the packets and allow to cool slightly before opening the packets.
  • Finally, add 2 slices of cheese and top with bacon. Follow the directions below for the pan juices.

Tin Foil Juices

  • In a small bowl combine tapioca flour and water until it is a slurry.
    2 tsp tapioca flour, 1/8 cup water
  • Pour the juices from the tin foil into a pan.
  • Heat up the pan that the chicken juices are in. 
  • Once it begins to simmer pour in slurry while stirring the whole time until thickened. Pour some sauce over the top of the chicken or just serve without sauce.
