To toast coconut spread desiccated coconut on a baking sheet and place into a preheated oven to 325.
Bake for 5 minutes.
Open the oven and stir the coconut.
Close the oven door and set a timer for 5 minutes.
If toasted remove or stir and return for another 5 minutes.
Once toasted remove from oven and allow to cool.
