Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! Today is an American Holiday and we celebrate Thanksgiving! At any rate, I just wanted to take the time to thank all my readers for being here. I do hope you are not alone and are able to celebrate and enjoy food with your family. The years 2020 & 2021 will go down in history as some of the oddest in our lifetimes. Not everyone has something to be thankful for this year as they are grieving or going through difficult times. Nonetheless, I hope and pray you are able to enjoy good food and drink with family and/or friends. I wish you a brilliant and joyful day. Needless to say, I hope and pray that you are not experiencing depression on top of everything else. If you are having difficulties I highly suggest reaching out to someone.
Happy Thanksgiving 2022
Hopefully, you are enjoying your family’s favorite recipes and foods this Thanksgiving. Whatever happens, I hope that we don’t take your friends and family for granted. In any case, perhaps this holiday season we will strive to love a little deeper, forgive more easily, seek forgiveness a little more, and grant one another extra leeway. Indeed, let this year make us kinder and more loving to everyone we meet.
For those who have lost loved ones, I am sorry for your loss. I pray daily for those who are in the hospital. I am thankful for all of those who work in the medical industry, grocery stores, restaurants, take-out, delivery drivers, semi-drivers, farmers, and ranchers. Most importantly, Thank you for all you do for all of us as a whole.
Needless to say, I hope and pray that you are not experiencing depression on top of everything else. However, if you are indeed suffering from depression I urge you to seek out help. Call a friend, a mentor, or a pastor. Or call the Suicide Prevention Hotline at 1-800-273-8255 or contact them at Suicide Prevention Hotline.
In any case, RAK’s (random acts of kindness) are greatly needed at this time. Believe it or not many RAK’s are cheap. With this in mind, here are some suggestions: send a postcard to a relative or patient in a nursing home via snail mail, purchase a coffee for someone else, purchase a fast food restaurant gift card for $5.00, and give someone who is in need. Indeed, you could buy someone in line behind you a Costco hot dog the next time you are there.
Day After Breakfast
Consequently, for those looking for a breakfast recipe for tomorrow morning. Hence, take a look at one of my gluten-free Dutch pancakes. Dutch pancakes can be made the day before. Thus, make the batter in the blender the night before. Lastly, just pour it out into a hot pan. And finally, placed into a preheated oven.
In conclusion, I would like to leave you with this quote from Mother Teresa, “People are often unreasonable and self-centered. Forgive them anyway. If you are kind people may accuse you of ulterior motives. Be kind anyway. If you are successful you will win some false friends and true enemies. Succeed anyway. If you are honest people may cheat you. Be honest anyway. If you find happiness people may be jealous. Be Happy Anyway. The good you do today will often be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway.”
Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!!
