Family Size Pizza Crust

My recipes are grain free, refined sugar free and many are dairy free.

I love pizza and like to enjoy common foods with my family. I miss being able to go out to Pizzerias and enjoy a meal together. Not being able to eat grains sometimes makes me feel as if I have a separation from my family. I know on days that I fast they go out to dinner together and eat common foods that we all love. I am not sure how to explain it but it feels like I can’t share time, experiences and memories with them. They will always remember that there were very few places I could go out to eat with them. I feel so disconnected from my family. I know I am not the only one that feels this way. There are those of you out there with other diseases that prevent you from going out to dinner with your families as well. I hope in the future there are restaurants that serve grain free items.

I have a recipe for personal pizza crusts but wanted to have pizza with my family. I wanted to enjoy time, conversations, memories, laughter and stories with my family. Funny how food is the center of most holidays, celebrations, customs, traditions, cultures they weave humanity together. Food is a common thread that creates the tapestry of life and memories. Food is an essential component of life and uses all of our senses. Many of our early memories with our parents are from food. For example, the smell of Swedish coffeecake reminds me of my mother, Christmas, and Swedish traditions/holidays. These memories make up a large part of who I am.

This recipe is for a stone bar pan 14 3/4 – 10 1/2. I made two pizzas to feed my family of 4 and there were leftovers. This serves 5 people. I made a Hawaiin pizza and a Pepperoni pizza. My son who is a somewhat picky eater loves this crust. What a joy to be able to enjoy pizza and enjoying a meal with my family. This is not a KETO pizza as it has too many carbs.

1 cup cauliflower

1/2 cup shredded cheese

1/4 cup shredded parmesan

1/2 cup cassava flour

1/4 cup almond flour

1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

1 teaspoon powdered onion

1  teaspoon garlic salt

1/4 teaspoon red pepper

1 teaspoon powdered garlic

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 cup water


Preheat oven to 425. In a food processor combine cauliflower, shredded cheese, cassava flour, almond flour, and remaining ingredients. Run processor until it forms into a ball. Place two sheets of plastic wrap slightly overlapping down on the counter. Remove the dough from the food processor. Place on top of plastic wrap and place two more sheets of plastic wrap slightly overlapping on top of the dough. Using a rolling pin roll out your dough to 14 3/4  by 10 1/2 inches. Cut the rolled out dough into fourths and carefully lift each piece and place inside oven safe bar pan. Bake for 5 – 7 minutes. Remove from oven and place pizza toppings on dough. Return to oven and bake for another 4 – 8 minutes or until toppings are cooked through.
