Needless to say, my kids have a hard time processing dairy. Because of that and dietary restrictions I am trying to make more and more dairy-free options for my kids. I am continuously am looking for tasty options. I have not tried to make almond milk cream cheese yet. Therefore, when I saw Kite Hill Cream Cheese in the store I decided to pick it up and give it a try.

Previous Tastings of Other Brands:

Consequently, I don’t know if you have ever tried dairy-free cream cheese before. But based on past experience I was very reluctant. I can not even describe how horrid the previous cream cheeses have been. Hence, I could not even swallow them. In fact, I had to spit them out. At any rate, I have to tell you that I was more than hesitant to purchase another product that I have to toss away, let alone the cost of it. I hate waste of any kind, whether it be food or money. I had a hard time getting rid of the memory of the taste of the previous one I had tried.

Trying Kite Hill Cream-Cheese Review:

Well, let me be the first to tell you about my pleasantly gratifying experience with Kite Hill cream cheese. You can definitely taste the co-founder’s cooking and scientific experience in this delightful product.

Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised by the smell, texture, taste, and creaminess. The texture is so luscious, delicate, and creamy that I almost forgot I was eating an alternative cream cheese. Yes, you heard me right. It does have a slight almond flavor. It is spreadable, smooth, and tasty and feels like and reacts exactly like the name brand spreadable cream cheese you can find in the supermarket. The smell is similar to that of dairy cream cheese. This is the first dairy-free cream cheese that I would eat again and again as it is delicious. It’s beyond delicious, it is tasty to the 9th degree. And yes, my children ask me to purchase it for bagels, a cream cheese filling for crepes, and all sorts of other things.

The founders are professional chefs and a biochemistry professor. The three co-founders of the company have impressive backgrounds. I believe you can taste their expertise in the product. After tasting their creation I can honestly say this is the only brand I purchase when buying dairy-free cream cheese.

The Only Drawback:

I am now excited to try their other products. The only negative to this product is the price but it is monetarily comparable to the other alternative cream cheeses on the market. It sells for around $6.99 at Sprouts, Whole Foods,  or Natural Grocers.
