Homemade Blue Cheese Dressing is a rich, creamy, and tangy salad topping. Perfect for salads, vegetables, chicken wings, or pizza. Indeed, it is so quick and easy to make. Not to mention, that the flavor is better than store-bought. It is a popular vintage dressing. Consequently, you control the tang and intensity of the blue cheese. In fact, just add more blue cheese. Homemade dressings will last in the fridge for up to two weeks.
Homemade Blue Cheese Dressing
Since going gluten-free and refined sugar-free I have had to take a lot of condiments with me to restaurants. Oftentimes, we go out to dinner for our adult children. During these times I often have to bring my own dressings, ketchup, and other sauces. The milk and lemon juice make buttermilk. Furthermore, it is a delectable topping for baked potatoes as well.
Needless to say, homemade mayonnaise really makes this dressing. However, I am the only person in my family who loves blue cheese. Therefore, this is a small batch dressing. Hence, this recipe makes two servings. For a more decadent salad top the salad with crumbles.
Use a food processor to create a creamy texture versus a chunky. Just combine all ingredients and blend until smooth. In conclusion, this dressing is so tasty I licked my plate.
