Cinnamon Whipped Cream

My recipes are grain free, refined sugar free and many are dairy free. Not this recipe of course but others. There are many people who can not eat grains because of allergies or autoimmune illnesses. White sugar and white flour are huge triggers for some people. I have been recovering from a downward spiral of autoimmune illnesses. Sometimes the pace of healing is fast and quick other time slow and tedious. I still have good and bad days, however, not as bad as before switching my diet.

I do a three to four day fast every month normally at the end of the month. If you have an eating disorder please do not do this or even think about doing it. I am under the care of a functional doctor who has currently prescribed this for me. It is based on my health, illnesses and lab tests. The belief behind my fast is that it resets your immune system.

I like a little dollop of whipped cream on pies, ice cream, cheesecake etc. This whipped cream is slightly flavored with cinnamon and nutmeg making it the perfect topping to my Apple Pie Filling, Cinnamon Apple Cheesecake, or dairy free KETO Soft Serve Vanilla Ice Cream, Crustless Double Cream Pumpkin Cheesecake.

1 cup whipping cream

1 teaspoon powdered monk fruit sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

1 large pinch of nutmeg


Combine all ingredients into a bowl. Mix with an electric mixer until thick peaks. Top pies, cakes, ice cream. Dust with a little cinnamon.
