It is perfect for dipping bread or even vegetables. Use it like a cheese fondue. It is beyond delicious and decadent. A perfect white sauce perfect for individual or large pizzas. While it is not a tomato-based sauce it will surprise you. Needless to say, this decadent cheesy sauce will become your family favorite.
Gluten-Free Garlic Pizza Sauce
Consequently, adding white sauce to your repertoire will open up a wider variety of pizzas and toppings to enjoy. What is white sauce? Once the roux has cooked for a minute or two add seasonings, chicken or vegetable broth, and some cheese with minced garlic. Undoubtedly, this sauce will kick up a notch in any pizza it is added to.
Additionally, it may be used with Cauliflower Cassava Pizza Crust, Cauliflower Almond Pizza Crust, Or Family Pizza Crust. Most importantly I have three crusts small, medium, and large. Last but not least, just smear a thin or thick layer of the sauce on any pizza crust.
Gluten-Free Garlic Pizza Sauce
Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp tapioca flour
- 1/4 cup chicken broth or vegetable broth or water
- 1 pinch of Rosemary wine salt
- 1 minced garlic
- 1/4 tsp Garlicky Onion Seasoning
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese or white cheese of choice
Directions:
First, add the butter to a small pot and melt it over medium heat. Second, add the tapioca flour. Third, stir the butter and flour together until creating a roux. Cook on the stove for 1 minute. Next, add the broth, Rosemary wine salt, garlic, and seasonings and stir together until thickened. Finally, stir in the cheese and continue stirring until the cheese is melted. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Store for up to 4 days. Makes enough to top 8 (6 -7 inch) pizza crusts. Once cool smear a then layer on top of the crust.
