Refined Sugar-Free Huckleberry Sauce is a thick and luxurious sauce full of sweet berries and an ever so slight musky piney flavor. Such a decadent and delightful treat. As a matter of fact, you can almost taste the mountains they grew on. Each and every bite have berries that will burst in your mouth when bitten into. Is a wonderful sauce or topping for any dessert. Huckleberries are a unique and flavorful berry that is similar to blueberries.
In the beginning, it was so hard because I hadn’t yet acclimated to this way of thinking. Not to mention, it took a lot of research, trial, and error to get to where I am now. Moreover, I started this blog because I had friends that were trying the same diet and complimented me on my food and the pictures of my food on Facebook. So with their encouragement, I began my journey. Not to mention, I have been writing recipes since I was 21. At first, I just put them together and my boyfriend (who is now my husband) would ask if I followed a recipe. Oftentimes, I would say no. Needless to say, the problem was I didn’t measure or write them down for years. Finally, I got into the habit of measuring ingredients and writing them down.
Refined Sugar-Free Huckleberries Sauce:
I grew up in Idaho and Huckleberries are wild in the mountains. Many people say they are a wild variety of blueberries, but they are not. They taste nothing like blueberries. I am not sure how to describe the taste of them as they are smaller than blueberries and have their own unique flavor. This recipe is good for any berry. Great with ice cream, pancakes, waffles, or on toast. This makes about 3/4 to a 1/2 cup of Huckleberry Sauce. Believe me when I say I am sure you will find a way to use this sauce.
Notes:
Feel free to read my informative blog on Monk Fruit Sweetener.
Consequently, if you don’t own an ice cream maker Amazon has a large variety as well as coconut sugar, monkfruit sugar, and tapioca flour. I purchase my huckleberries here.
