Dairy-Free Sour Cream is the perfect creamy sour topping for any baked potato. In fact, baked potatoes are so much more delicious topped with this sour cream substitute. As a matter of fact, use it for all your savory dishes. As of yet, I have not tried it in sweet recipes.
Personal Notes:
For health reasons, I have had to remove dairy from my diet from time to time and do a cleanse. Of course, this means that I desperately need a sour cream substitute. Needless, to say since I used coconut milk a lot I thought of it first. Consequently, I have had to create my own substitutes for various baking and cooking ingredients. Such as Cassava flour for my flour substitute.
At any rate, I use this recipe in my retro vintage Dairy French Onion Dip.
Perfect to pair with tacos, to use for a veggie dip. In any case, you may want to make some for game night, super bowl, or if you tailgate. Such a versatile ingredient.
Consequently, I use a lot of Coconut Milk. Therefore, I often have a can of coconut milk in my fridge. Leaving coconut milk in the fridge allows the thick creamy milk to solidify, thereby, making it easy to just remove the thick creamy milk. Make it as thick or as creamy as you like.
In conclusion, buy unsweetened full-fat canned coconut milk.
