Green Chicken Chili is a nice smokey, lightly spicy chili that will not only warm your tongue but will warm your belly. This recipe has a small amount of fresh jalapeno, green chilies, and smoked paprika to not only warm your tongue but your belly too. Indeed, these incredible flavors meld well together. In all honesty, I am a wimp when it comes to spice, however, I do like a little heat. Frankly, I enjoy the slight tingle on my tongue. Green Chicken Chili
Ingredients:
- 2 tsp avocado oil
- 2 lbs diced chicken
- 2 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp pink salt
- 1 tsp Lanolife powdered chicken broth
- 1/2 tsp taco seasoning
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 (7 oz) can of green chilies
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 2/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 (15 oz) white beans
- 2 tsp chopped jalapeno
- 2 cups of water
- 1 (14 oz.) can of pinto beans
- 1 (14 oz) can of diced tomatoes
Directions:
First, dice chicken and fry up in a pan on medium heat with 2 tsp hot avocado oil.Second, add cumin, smoked paprika, pink salt, powdered chicken broth, taco seasoning, and black pepper seasoning. Thirdly open a can of green chilies and remove all the seeds from the chilies. Fourthly, place chilies and liquid without any seeds into a high-speed blender along with the whole can of white beans including liquid, garlic, onion, jalapeno piece, and water blend on high until liquified.Next, add green chilies mixture into the cooked chicken with seasonings. Lastly, add in pinto bean and tomatoes. Continue cooking until mixture is heated through.Serving suggestion: Serve with a small dollop of sour cream, a slice of lime and cilantro leaves.
