Sun-Dried Tomato Pork Chops are cooked in a sun-dried tomato sauce. In fact, they make the pork chops appear that they have been Sun Kissed. The flavor pops in your mouth. These chops are topped with a sun-dried and balsamic topping giving them a sweet and tart sauce.
Sun-Dried Tomato Pork Chops
In all honesty, this recipe seemed to ruminate in my head. It finally came together; the flavor profile was light citrus and sun-dried. Not to mention, the deep red color of the pork chops is beautiful too. In fact, originally I called them Sun Kissed Pork Chops. Consequently, this sun-dried sauce can also be used for beef, pork, and chicken. For instance, it is roughly based on a Tuscan, Italian sun-dried tomato pork recipe. Thereby, making this recipe versatile.
Nonetheless, this is a quick and easy recipe. Clearly, there is something so enticing about sweet and sour or tart flavors. Without a doubt, this recipe is one to add to your repertoire.
Searing the pork chops on the stove and baking them in the oven is what makes these chops so tender.
Cooking Pork Chops
Most importantly, start by making the glaze or sauce in a small food processor. Above all, make sure the pan is hot before searing the pork. Sear each side of the pork chop with the sauce on. Last but not least, add a lid to the pan before placing it in the oven. As a result, this will allow the pork to be tender. In summary, add the pork to the oven and bake until cooked through. Above all, double-check with an oven thermometer to make sure the pork is cooked through. Drizzle with a little avocado oil for eye appealing dish. Furthermore, an oven thermometer on Amazon.

Sun-Dried Tomato Pork Chops
Ingredients:
- 4 pork chops
- 4 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 2 tbsp sun-dried tomatoes or sun-dried tomatoes in a tube
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp balsamic vinegar
- 2 tbsp avocado oil
- 3 tbsp water
Directions:
First, preheat the oven to 350. Second, combine all the ingredients, except for the water, in a small food processor until well blended. Thirdly, place approximately 1 tablespoon of sauce on both sides of each pork chop. Finally, turn an electric stove on to medium heat. Next, add avocado oil to an ovenproof frying pan. Once hot add pork chops to the frying pan. Next, sear each side of the pork chops. Lastly, place it into the oven and bake for 15 – 20 minutes. Last but not least, add the remaining sauce to the pan along with the water. Above all, place a lid on the pan to prevent the chops from drying out. Remove from oven and allow to cool for 10 -15 minutes. Serve with the remaining sun-dried glaze from the pan.
