Small-Batch Jalapeno Orange Marmalade is a unique mix of sweet orange marmalade and spicy jalapeno. A slight amount of heat takes this jam over the top. Not to mention, it makes a quick and easy appetizer in less than 30 seconds. Simply pour this over the top of a block of softened cream cheese, and voila, you’re done. Serve with toast points and crackers. Something about the tang of the cream cheese and the spice of the jalapeno will have your guests singing your praises. Without a doubt, it will disappear before your eyes.
Small-Batch Jalapeno Orange Marmalade:
Believe it or not, the first time I had this jalapeno jam I was surprised at how good it was. Incidentally, my friend Amy first introduced me to jalapeno jelly years ago. Hers is made with bell peppers, jalapenos, and food coloring. Indeed, she used to make me a couple of jars every year. But, then I went refined sugar-free. Therefore, I felt I needed to somehow create my own version of this delectable treat. Nevertheless, this only makes one jar at a time. And best of all, no canning equipment is needed as once it is made you store it in the fridge for up to two months. If it lasts that long.
Moreover, it can be used as a dip for grilled meats, chicken nuggets, coconut shrimp, or even veggies. So many uses and is so tasty.
Cool and Spicy
Nevertheless, it can be made mild or hot. However, combining it with cream cheese is perfect. The cream cheese cools down the heat. Sweet cool and mild spice or hot.
Nonetheless, It is worth mentioning that a jar of this delightful treat makes a wonderful gift. It makes a perfect housewarming gift, host gift, or even Christmas gift. Why not make up a batch of this Marmalade today? Hence, stop spending money on store-bought fancy marmalades. Consequently, making your own jar of marmalade allows you to control the heat.
In conclusion, but most importantly be very careful when handling the jalapenos. Most importantly, be certain to wash your hands thoroughly after touching the peppers. You may wish to wear gloves. Last but not least, don’t touch your eyes after cutting the jalapenos.
