Small-Batch Jalapeno Orange Marmalade a unique mix of sweet orange marmalade and spicy jalapeno. A slight amount of heat takes this jam over the top. Not to mention, it makes a quick and easy appetizer in less than 30 seconds. Simply pour this over the top of a block of cream cheese, and voila, you’re done. Serve with toast points and crackers. Something about the tang of the cream cheese and the spice of the jalapeno will have your guests singing your praises. Not to mention, that it will disappear before your eyes.Small Batch Jalapeno Orange Marmalade

Small-Batch Jalapeno Orange Marmalade:

Believe it or not, the first time I had this jalapeno jam I was surprised at how good it was. Incidentally, my friend Amy first introduced me to jalapeno jelly years ago. Hers is made with bell peppers, jalapenos, and food coloring. Indeed, she used to make me a couple of jars every year. But, then I went refined sugar-free. Therefore, I felt I needed to somehow create my own version of this delectable treat. Nevertheless, this only makes one jar at a time. And best of all, no canning equipment is needed as once it is made you store it in the fridge for up to two months. If it lasts that long.

Moreover, it can be used as a dip for grilled meats, chicken nuggets, coconut shrimp, or even veggies. So many uses and so tasty.

It is worth mentioning that a jar of this delightful treat makes a wonderful gift. It makes a perfect housewarming gift, host gift, or even Christmas gift. Why not make up a batch of this Marmalade today? Stop spending money on store-bought fancy marmalades. Consequently, making your own jar of marmalade allows you to control the heat.

In conclusion, but most importantly be very careful when handling the jalapenos. Be certain to wash your hands thoroughly after touching the peppers. You may wish to wear gloves. But believe me whatever you don’t touch your eyes after cutting the jalapenos.

Jalapeno Water Ingredients 2 Ways Choose One:

  • 1 whole jalapeno
  • 1 cup water

Directions:

First, place the jalapeno into a small jar overnight in the fridge (with or without seeds). The second way, place the jalapeno with or without seeds into a pan and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Cook for two minutes. Allow it to cool. Measure out the amount of water needed for the recipe below.

Ingredients:

  • 2/3 freshly squeezed orange juice about 3 oranges
  • 2/3 cup of jalapeno water
  • 1/4 cup monkfruit sweetener
  • 1 scoop Pure Multi Collagen
  • 1/4 cup powdered monkfruit
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 5 tbsp diced jalapeno
  • 4 tbsp balsamic vinegar

Directions:

First, juice 2 of the oranges. Secondly, remove the peel from one orange and set it aside. Chop the peel into small pieces making sure to omit the pith part of the peel (the thick white part). Finally, stir together monkfruit sweetener, collagen, and powdered monkfruit. Turn stove onto medium heat. Next, add the juice, jalapeno water, monkfruit mixture, and maple syrup into a pan over medium heat. Boil for 5 minutes continuing to stir the whole time until the sweetener dissolves. Next, stir in the fruit, chopped jalapeno, and balsamic vinegar. Reduce heat and simmer for approximately 40 minutes or until thickened to your liking. Lastly, allow cooling before placing into sterilized canning jars. Once cooled place in the refrigerator for approximately 2 months. Jalapeno Marmalade will thicken slightly as it cools.
