Turmeric Speculaas Latte and Heath Benefits
In any case, this recipe uses my Speculaas Spice recipe. Needless to say, all of the spices in this golden creamy latte have medicinal properties. Moreover, I have included some of the health benefits of some of the spices and herbs. According to my research, white pepper has antibiotic and decongestive properties. (1) Clove is high in antioxidants and can kill bacteria. (2) Subsequently, star anise has antifungal and antibacterial benefits (3).
In other words, this spice mix is the equivalent of American Pumpkin Spice. Hence, these warming spices will have the holiday spilling out of your mug. Often called the Golden Drink.
In conclusion, this is quick and easy to make. Lucuma Powder has been used in this recipe as a sweetener. It is known in Peru for its maple-like flavor and is full of antioxidants. In any case, it is known as a superfood.
Turmeric Health Benefits:
Indeed, Turmeric has many health benefits. Renowned for its anti-inflammatory properties. Curcumin gives it a bright orange color. According, to some research it may help to prevent cancer (4). Not to mention, helping fight Alzheimers and Dementia (5). As a matter of fact, it is helpful in relieving pain and swelling in Arthritis (6). Unbelievably, research has shown that it is useful as an antidepressant (7).
