Refined Sugar-Free Banana Liqueur has a wonderful sweet banana flavor. Adding this to drinks, pancakes, waffles, or sauces will up the flavor profile. In fact, this recipe is so very easy. Hence, it is gluten-free and refined sugar-free. Consequently, I wanted to use Banana Liqueur in a recipe. However, there are no refined sugar-free liqueurs on the market. There is gluten-free alcohol. Therefore I needed to create a recipe.
Believe it or not this banana liqueur is sweet with a heightened banana flavor. Since I don’t drink much this is a small batch recipe and creates about a 3/4 cup. Use as you would any liqueur.
Refined Sugar-Free Banana Liqueur
As a matter of fact, Bananas are almost impossible to juice. Furthermore, they are not very appealing mashed. Most importantly, DIY homemade liqueur allows for a fresh banana to be infused into the gluten-free alcohol of your choice. At any rate, this is a sweet liquid. In any case, the alcohol content is reduced by adding in a simple syrup.
What is simple syrup? It is often used in canning. There are three types of simple syrup, heavy, medium, and light. In canning, a heavy syrup is equal parts water with equal parts sweetener. In conclusion, I made this Liqueur with a heavy syrup thereby upping the banana. The liqueur is used as a dessert liquid.
Amazon carries Yacon syrup and Maple Sugar.
