Gluten-Free Chocolate Tart Shells is a nice chocolatey flavored, easy, graham cracker textured crust. In fact, it is perfect for a variety of tarts or pies and is a nice change of pace. Believe it or not, this crust is vegan, refined sugar-free, and gluten-free. A made-from-scratch chocolate tart shell. Indeed this recipe is so quick and easy and goes together in a matter of minutes and cooks in under 20 minutes.Picture of close-up of tart shells with rose petals hanging above them.

Gluten-Free Chocolate Tart Shells:

At any rate, the holidays are the perfect time to make desserts to bring to family gatherings. In any event, you may want to create something new for your family this year. Of course, the sky is the limit on filling. Oh, the choices we can make using this crust. All in all, it can be substituted for any tart that pairs with chocolate. Needless to say, what is better than chocolate?

Notes:

As a matter of fact, I often make an array of tarts for Thanksgiving. Not to mention, that everyone can get a small taste of each dessert. In conclusion, this recipe makes a total of four 4-inch tart shells. Perfect for empty nesters, small families, or those wanting to make a variety of desserts. Furthermore, these tart shells freeze nicely if left inside the tart tin. When I make this for my husband and me two tarts will end up getting frozen. Powdered Monk Fruit Sweetener can also be made if you can’t find it.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/8 cup Almond Flour
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp powdered monk fruit sweetener
  • pinch of salt
  • 4 tbsp coconut oil

Directions:

First, preheat the oven to 375. Second, grease four 4-inch tart pans. Third, combine almond flour, cocoa powder, powdered monk fruit sugar, and salt. Stir until well combined. Finally, melt the coconut oil in a microwave oven on high for 30 seconds. Pour the coconut oil into the flour mixture and combine the ingredients. Finally, place 1/4 cup of crumb mixture into 4-inch tart shells and press the crumbs into the tart pan using your hands or by pressing a 1/4 cup around the edges and on the bottom.Gluten-Free Chocolate Tart Shells putting the crust ingredients into tart shellsLastly, place tart pans onto a baking sheet and place in the oven.
