Gluten-Free Chicken Fried Steak is a wonderfully tasty and delectable treat to eat. Indeed, if you are gluten-free or grain-free, this may be the dish you are craving. What a delicious, quintessential Southern dish that is a must-have. Some call it Country Style Southern Chicken Fried Steak. It is called Fried Chicken Steak because it is breaded and then fried like chicken. While it is not low-calorie, it is tasty. The outside is crispy and crunchy, while the meat on the inside is moist and tender. Consequently, it is even better with gravy. Gravy recipe is listed below as well.

Missing that classic Southern comfort food. This gluten-free chicken fried steak is the dish you have been waiting for! Featuring tenderized steak driged in a perfectly seasoned, crispy breading and pan fried to a golden perfection, this recipe delivers all the nostagic flavor of a country freied steak without gluten.

Crispy and Crunchy

Believe it or not, achieving the perfect crispy cust without wheat is possible by using my gluten-free garlic crackers as the crunchy texture in the dishe. After turning the crackers into crumbs combine with seasonings and cassava flour that adheres well to the meat. This secret to this successful non-soggy breading lies in a double dredging technique-dipping the seasoned steak in flour, than an egg wash buttermilk cholula wash, and back into the flour again-which ensures a thick coating that stays intact during the high heat, shallow fry process. To prevent the breading from falling off or becoming greasy, it is highly recommended to use a cast-iron skillet. Most importantly allow the coated steaks to rest for 5-10 minutes before cooking to allow the flour to form a solid bond.

In Conclusion Gluten-Free Chicken Fried Steak

In summary, this gluten-free chicken fried steak takes a classic southern staple and makes it safe for everyone to eat. By using a double dedge mthod you get and incredible crust that holds up perfectly under a creamy white gravy. It’s a tender meal that brings back all the comfort of a traditional kitchen recipe proving you don’t have to miss out on the good stuff.

According to my family, this recipe beats the one we all had in Florida. In any event, you will need to make Gluten-Free Garlic Crackers. Consequently, crackers can be made in advance.

At any rate, this recipe is a lot of work but so very worth it in the end. As a matter of fact, this recipe is one of my family’s all-time favorites. All in all, this is my version of a vintage Southern Fried Chicken Steak recipe. While this recipe is finger-licking delicious it is not low in calories or carbs. However, I think once or twice a year I can splurge. In conclusion, it is scrumptious with or without gravy.

With regards to Cassava flour please read Cassava Flour Information. Check out Gluten-Free Southern Recipes.

Regardless resist the urge to turn the steaks over until one side is completely cooked on one side. In all honesty, flipping the steaks over more than once or twice will cause the breading to fall off.

Moreover, cassava flour, avocado oil, pots, and pans are all available on Amazon.
