Homemade BBQ Seasoning is a spicy smoky blend that will flavor any protein whether on the grill or in the oven. Incidentally, its made with a little chipotle ground spice to kick it up a notch. Flavorful, smoky, spicy and slightly sweet make this the perfect seasoning or rub.
Are you looking for a seasoning or spice rub to elevate your proteins? If so, then this is the perfect recipe for you. So quick and easy to toss together. By the way, I save my spice jars and wash them out relabel to store my new seasoning blends in and store in my pantry. However, in order to add a slight sweetness, I do add coconut sugar as it is refined sugar-free.
Since going grain-free I can’t use many of the combination seasonings as they have refined sugar or something else I can’t have. Therefore, I have had to create my own seasonings and blends. This is one of my favorites. In fact, I use this blend all the time. I use it in my Grain-Free Chicken strips and BBQ Buffalo Burgers.
Homemade BBQ Seasoning:
This can be used as a rub as well. It is an excellent addition to any pantry or recipe.
Once I went grain-free and refined sugar-free my health started to improve. If you were to have told me that my health would improve and I would lose weight. I’m not so sure I would have believed you. However, I was so sick all the time and on a bunch of medications. Therefore I had nothing to lose by changing my diet. Now, I am only on one medication for my Hashimoto’s thyroiditis.
