Baked Korean BBQ Chicken is full of ginger, garlic, and bbq flavors that will make you want to lick your fingers clean. Some meals bring out the kid in us. These meals are reminiscent of our childhood and eating meals with our families. While your family may not have grown up with Korean flavors you probably have had some sort of bbq chicken. Of course, this is not a traditional Tikkudak because it is not grilled. Indeed, it is my version based on my memories of the flavor palate. Either way, I hope your family enjoys it as much as my family.
I had every intention of BBQing the chicken on the grill, however, the weather turned bad and I, therefore, needed to switch gears and come up with another way to get the chicken cooked. Life is like that it throws our plans out of whack. In fact, life goes a lot smoother when we can be flexible.
If you enjoy Korean flavors then you gotta try this recipe. Likewise, perhaps you too are suffering from autoimmune illnesses. Whatever brought you to my page I am thankful and glad you are here.
Baked Korean BBQ Chicken Notes:
Baked Korean BBQ Chicken does begin with my Hickory BBQ Sauce and building Korean flavors from there. For example, some of the seasonings which add to the Korean flavor are freshly ground ginger, fresh minced garlic, and Korean Red Chili Flakes. My BBQ sauce, at any rate, is refined sugar-free. To tell the truth it is one of the sauces I have on hand at all times. I tend to make BBQ Sauce at least once a month and store it in the fridge. This meal will, in fact, go quicker if the Hickory BBQ sauce is already made ahead of time.
Otherwise, this recipe takes approximately 45 – 50 minutes to make from beginning to end. Tamarind powder is a unique sour spice mix used in many Asian dishes.
Personal Sharing:
Since my new favorite song is by Lauren Daigle “You Say”. Here is a brief copy of some of the lyrics. I wanted to share it anyway, I highly suggest that you listen to the entire song.
I keep fighting voices in my mind that say I’m not enough
Every single lie that tells me I will never measure up
Am I more than just the sum of every high and every low?
Remind me once again just who I am, because I need to know
Part of the refrain:
You say I am loved when I can’t feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak
Incredibly we all have days where voices of negativity enter our little heads. However, God does not talk that way to us. He created us all. It is my hope that this song and these short lyrics lift you up allow you to see yourself through God’s eyes and not human eyes. Please whatever, you don’t listen to the negative or any of the lies. I am glad you are here! You are BEAUTIFUL!!
And, yes there are days that I too feel this way. Perhaps we can all take the time to improve our world and lift each other up. Have a wonderful and blessed day!

K-BBQ is the only kind of BBQ I like and it shocks my husband every time because he’s a huge BBQ fan. I don’t know what it is about the flavors for this kind of meal, but I think they’re delicious. Sweet and a little smoky and just sooo good. Great recipe!
