Orange Horseradish Marmalade has it all sweet, spicy, and tangy. Needless to say, is the best accompaniment for coconut shrimp. Not to mention the little chunks of orange rind add a little bite to this Orange Horseradish Dipping Sauce. Nevertheless, what could be better than sweet, spicy, and savory shrimp? In fact, this is my version of the popular restaurant dipping sauce that often accompanies coconut shrimp. Looking for something a little different or a tad spicier? Try it with my Jalapeno Orange Marmalade.
Believe it or not one of my daughter’s favorite things is Coconut Shrimp with a spicy orange marmalade sauce. It sounds like these things don’t go together. Therefore it reminds me of Sesame Street one of these things doesn’t go with the other. Oh, but they do go together! Not to mention, this sauce is super yummy on Gluten-Free Coconut Shrimp, or with Popcorn Chicken. Of course, you can have the old standby of cocktail sauce too.

Chef Notes Orange Horserdish Marmalade
By the way, coconut shrimp has been around since the 1980s. Since things are considered antique after 25 years, I believe that this recipe is vintage. In fact, it was so popular that almost every restaurant you went to had it on the menu. Not only was coconut shrimp popular but so was the sauce that almost always accompanied it. Most often it was an orange marmalade sauce with stone ground mustard and some sort of horseradish. Enjoy with Gluten-Free Coconut Shrimp and Dairy-Free Coleslaw.
Amazon also has Whole Grain Mustard.
