Smokey Ground Turkey Chili has a slight Hickory flavor to it. In fact, just the smell of it will have you drooling. Once, however, you have a spoonful you may be hooked and devour more than you should. Top with cheese, onions, sliced radishes, cilantro, sour cream, guacamole, slices of lime, etc. All additions have the ability to change the flavor profile of this comfort food. Thinly shredded cabbage is also a wonderful addition.
Consequently, our culture tends to believe that making mistakes is a bad thing. Needless to say, we frequently associate it with failure. I am here to tell you, we often learn the most from our mistakes. For example, chocolate chip cookies, brownies, and lava cakes were all mistakes. However, I for one am glad that the inventors made those mistakes. While they didn’t turn out the way the inventor intended. I think everyone is glad they were invented.
Why am I talking about mistakes? In short, that is how this recipe came about. Hence, I collected all of my ingredients. Therefore, I enlisted the help of my son to open all the canned goods needed for the recipe. In any case, I then went to work on chopping the vegetables needed for the chili. When I went to add my canned goods I noticed I had grabbed several of the wrong ingredients. Rather than allowing it to throw me for a loop, I decided to create another recipe. Moreover, Smokey Ground Turkey Chili is beyond tasty.
Smokey Ground Turkey Chili
Normally I make food for my small family of four. Incidentally, my family loves chili. Therefore, I make a huge pot to feed my family of four for 2 days. Indeed this chili is quick and easy to make. At any rate, simply open the cans of beans and dump contents into the pan. Most importantly, don’t drain the can of beans.
Consequently, enjoy this Chili by itself or make a batch of Gluten-Free Cheddar Biscuits.
In all honesty, Hickory Liquid Smoke, Smoked Paprika, and a large cooking pot can be found on Amazon.
