Nevada Sauce

My recipes are grain free, refined sugar free and most are dairy free. I was inspired to come up with my own recipe after I saw Mastering Paleo’s recipe. Thanks, Mastering Paleo for the inspiration! I mean I already had tamarind powder. I came up with this recipe to replace Worcestershire sauce. I use this in many of my recipes. It is quick and easy to make. It makes about 1/4 to 1/2 cup. I don’t like to waste, therefore, I don’t make a large amount. This way I use it up before it goes bad. I also use anchovy paste which comes in a small tube. I have seen it in most grocery stores.

I use to use Worcestershire sauce all the time now I just substitute this sauce in all my old recipes. It has made revamping my recipes a lot easier. Plus I feel like this sauce has a deeper depth of flavor. What a difference it has made. Use in Nevada Broccoli Beef, Keto BBQ Sauce, Spicy Chicken Wing Sauce, Smokey Mushroom Gravy, Smokey Garlic and Mushroom Turkey Patties, Shrimp Pan Roast, Sirloin Steak, L’s Seasoned T-Bone, Prime Rib Au Jus, Keto French Onion Dip, Homemade Sloppy Joes, Hickory BBQ Sauce, and Homemade Horseradish.


3 tablespoons boiling water

1 tablespoon dried tamarind

1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

1 tablespoon champagne vinegar

2 teaspoons maple syrup

1/4 teaspoon anchovy paste

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon homemade horseradish

1 teaspoon coconut aminos

1 teaspoon garlic aminos

1/2 teaspoon minced garlic

1/2 teaspoon minced onion

1/4 teaspoon tomato paste 

1/2 teaspoon dijon mustard

1 teaspoon coconut nectar


Combine boiling water and dried tamarind and combined. Add remaining ingredients and stir until well combined. Store in glass container in the fridge. Use like you would Worcestershire sauce. Stores well for 1 month in the refrigerator.
